All that happened in September!

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, a time to honor and recognize the thousands of children and families impacted by this devastating disease. In 2026, an estimated 15,340 children and adolescents under age 20 in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer.

At Jack’s Helping Hand, we are honored to support local families as they navigate the challenges of childhood cancer. Though a diagnosis is heartbreaking, we are moved by the love of families, the generosity of our community, and, most of all, the courage of the children we serve.

This month, as part of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we are proud to spotlight Benny!

Benny is a smart, funny, and active 7-year-old who loves math, reading, his friends, Greek mythology, video games, and playing with his siblings and cats.
