November Superstar — Meet Nahvid!

Every month, we highlight a child so you can learn about the wonderful children we help in our community. Meet Nahvid!

“Nahvid is an incredible, smart, and silly 5-year-old with a playful personality. On April 20, 2023, our lives took an unexpected turn when Nahvid woke up complaining that his bones hurt. Later that day, he experienced his first focal seizure, which was followed by more seizures at the hospital.

Soon, Nahvid began having 3-4 seizures daily that we could catch, significantly affecting the left side of his body and impacting his daily life. Initially, Nahvid saw a neurologist locally, but he was quickly referred to UCLA Pediatric Neurology, where we now travel multiple times a year for his care.

The journey has been challenging, but Jack’s Helping Hand has been a tremendous support. They’ve eased the burden of our travels by providing safe and comfortable hotel accommodations, as well as assistance with gas and meals. The team at Jack’s Helping Hand has been amazing, helping us feel supported every step of the way.”

We are honored to support Nahvid and his family on their journey. It is our privilege to help ease their challenges and ensure they feel cared for during this difficult time.r!
