Jack’s Happenings – March 2024 E-newsletter

Child of the month – Meet Elaf!

Elaf has cerebral palsy and experiences significant motor impairment, relying on a walker and crutches for ambulation. Elaf participates in various therapeutic activities such as adaptive swimming, horseback riding, and physical therapy. He has undergone many medical procedures at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital throughout his life.

Jack’s Helping Hand has been instrumental in providing support for Elaf’s needs, including swimming therapy, horse riding, and assistance with the costs of orthotics. Now in high school, Elaf requires a motorized wheelchair to move between classes independently. With the support of Jack Helping Hand, some of the expenses for this wheelchair have been covered.

“Elaf is thrilled with his new powered wheelchair, as it allows him to navigate between classes swiftly and catch up with his classmates.  Thank you, Jack Helping Hands, for your invaluable assistance.” – Jabaieh Family
