October Child of the Month— Meet Eloise!
Every month, we highlight a child so you can learn about the wonderful children we help in our community. Meet Eloise!
“Eloise is an incredible 10 year old. She is kind, caring, and sensitive, and has found ways to cope with profound autism. Equine therapy has made a significant difference for Eloise in addressing her struggles with communication, fine motor skills, and physical difficulty sitting up straight. Through the routine of grooming and riding, Eloise has learned to use verbal and nonverbal cues to communicate with the horse while building confidence and trust. This type of therapy is often highly effective because the rhythmic motion of the horse’s gait can help improve a person’s balance, posture, and core strength. These improvements can then lead to improvements in other areas, like fine motor skills and communication. It’s clear the program has created meaningful moments of joy and pride. Eloise is an example of what can be achieved with patience, support, and the proper approach.”

At Jack’s Helping Hand, we’re honored to play a part in stories like Eloise’s. Her journey reflects the strength and resilience we see in so many of the children we serve.
